I have an English husband who is not happy to break out of the rut... I think we would have a better quaility of life in NZ, but there are also benefits to being in the UK, and seeing my son thru the minefield of the education system as he has special needs, the question arises would i have to start from scratch in NZ, can't see it happening in the near future, maybe in retirement.. but then if we had a winfall you just never know..

One of my work colleagues has worked in schools over there and has said that the education system over there has far superior resources than here, and that alot more money is put into the system than it is here.

I know exactly what you mean Les, as you know we are just starting to get somewhere with Sam's problems. I always said I wanted to be back in NZ before oldest Rob starts high school, but my time is running out, he starts year 6 in September!! Gives me a year lol, but now we also have a growing customer base for our wee business so it means throwing all that away too. John is more than happy to make the move, but it is such a biggy!

ah but Bron they start highschool here when they would actually be in form 1 in NZ so you have 3yrs really lol apart from your customer base thing your husband has a job that would probably be easily transferrable which is also a major consideration..
