Can I have two points for Knowing the Latin for nose hair, and converting that into whiskers?

Post by Lux on Nov 19, 2008 18:05:44 GMT 12
Correct: A cat's whiskers, called vibrissae, grow on the cat's face and on the back of its forelegs. The whiskers are thought to be a kind of sensor to help a cat gauge the space it wants to go through.

Interesting my source gave me 'Mary Queen of Scots' who does get a mention in your source also. She was said to have 'cadets' in tow during her rounds of golf, and that this is where the word 'caddy' came from.
