Thanks Maire, I will try that tomorrow. I have two rugged looking chaps just arrived with rifles wanting to take me out for a shoot so I have to go now. Thanks again for the welcome and advice. Kina are ugly, but when the roe is fat, they are delicious!

I use a Winchester 30/30, it drops them quickly and cleanly. I got a 65kg boar last night, and my mate dropped a fifty kg boar. We seldom use dogs and a knife these days, only when we are feeling energetic. And we find the meat is only good for casseroles, as they get too stressed. Anyway, my mate just had a beast killed the other day, so the spare meat from the pigs after we have got our roasts will be combined with some spare beef, for wild pork and beef sausages. Sometimes, I feel like a millionaire - until I have to go back to real work. |
