I used to play netball, hockey, tennis and squash. Now I go drowning every Friday morning, one day I'll learn to swim.

I actually did a lot of swimming, but had to stop as my ears kept getting infected, which meant I would have to either wear ear plugs (yuck) or keep my head above water (no go). So now I only go for the odd swim on holiday. And I play badminton once a week. I used to play soft ball and basketball, quite enjoyed them until the basketball became too competitive. I'm a more of a playing for enjoyment kind of person.

When I was a kid, I was playing all sorts of sports.
But now I dont really do anything.... I used to run a lot but when I got attacked I slowed down for a while but I did go to the gym nearly every night, which I have only recently stopped. I'm out with the dog all the time now walking...
I cant swim very well.... I swim like a brick but I did a lot of snorkeling in the maldives but got ear in fections in the second week... agony!!!

Have we got anyone here from Canada?
Christchurch in the mid 80's I use to play crazy social sports, one in particular called 'Broom Ball' (Canadian). It was a very crude version of ice hockey. Your hockey stick was a broom stick with a plastic paddle, hockey puck was a small hand ball, no ice skates and helmet which was an absolute must. You ran on ice with your sports shoes - good for balance. I retired in the middle of the semi final match after been taken out and seriously injuring my knee. Great crazy game.

Lol couchesthenics, I love that idea ..... what about the chair in front of the computer? If I spin around a few times every 5 minutes, wriggle my toes & tap at the keyboard, could that be exercise too?

And in my young days, I played softball, netball and then tennis up until I was 6 months pregnant with my last son. That was 21 years ago.
