..and the plot thickens...if the media reporting turns out to be true...then the real reason the parents hung around so long was too move the wee girls body. Perhaps to a location or locations where thorough searching has already taken place? Portugal authorities are obviously not going to be taken seriously on face value, if DNA supports the current theory I would suspect outside authorities are in possession of the evidence right about now.

Well Lux "sensing murder"! I did report on the 10 Sept re reply 23 [when i seen the Mother recently her neck looked a bit to stiff that seemed like a bit odd for me in the nuances of any appearance]
and Yollie reply 21 [It doesn't make sense, they are both doctors and ..] Well intentioned that you are, I don't believe that being Doctor's disqualifies one from murder. Not that you are meaning people who aren't are more likely to be [possible class stereotype mmmmm!]
We have had a bad run on Doctors over the last few and many years from Dr Josepth Mengale etc....

If it turns out that the parents are involved I will say they are either psychopaths of the highest order or have doctorates in acting...I haven't picked up on any 'weirdness' concerning the parents and I think I'm pretty good at sensing things. Mind you I haven't followed the case closely either. I think initially what I perceived was a very desperate family not coming to terms with the fact that there daughter was gone and not being able to leave her behind no matter what they discovered. Which is a natural enough response to such an awful situation.

I like your diplomacy Lux and I agree in the tragedy of a child missing parents wouldn't want to leave, you wrote ["was a very desperate family not coming to terms with the fact that there daughter was gone and not being able to leave her behind no matter what they discovered. Which is a natural enough response to such an awful situation."]
but they did leave,
their reason [lease up ] but with the support they had could have stayed on. The support they had was wonderful and why leave in an ongoing investigation. It is common for parents to be questioned and eliminated and the love a parent has for a child, nothing else matters in life until body is found. The sequencing in the subtles of the parents behaviour doesn't seem without odour from woe to go ie leaving a child "home alone" in a foreign country while out.
It is not like leaving a child sleeping while one is in the back garden. Their parental compus seem a skewed.

I don't think I said that they weren't capable of murder, just that being of some intelligence they would have known to contact the authorities had they killed her by accident. Of course, as Bron said, it would look bad for their careers. (Also the possibility that they strangled or smothered her and don't want to be had for murder ;p )
I guess the only ones who really know what happened are either a) the "abductor" or b) the parents.
There doesn't seem to be much real evidence either way as yet.
