Overcast here too now.
Was lovely earlier. I went over to Wainuiomata and the harbour was a real picture from the top of the hill. It was so calm you could see the western hills reflected in it.

We have yet another white out, but it mostly leads to a hot fine day, so not too bad.

Hot hot hot ....... Wellington has really turned on her best for the Sevens.
Was 30oC on the deck this morning ... too hot for me.

The wind turning to the south late yesterday afternoon saved the old trees at the top of the cemetary from burning in a fire over the other side of the hill north of us. This is the last largish stand of old trees on that part of the hill and I was dreading they would go up in flames. The hills around that area seem to be a popular place for the a/h arsonists to get their thrills   |

It was cool enough here yesterday to put on a cardy, but it feels warmer this morning.
Misty rain around the hills, so not going to be a sunny day.

Well there's no wind so you can safely bring your umbrella Koko ;D
It's misty/foggy around the hills, so hope the airport isn't affected if you are flying in.
It's actually eerily calm out there at the moment, hope it's not the calm before the storm.

The weather seems appropriate though for seeing off a long time friend and old soldier today .. the Last Post always brings a lump to the throat and tears to the eyes, as did the grieving family and friends:'(

Back in Chch currently 30 very hot.
Was in Tentham for 2 days it was very muggy loved the rain lol.. Had great weather in Wellington lovely the cool breeze off the harbour.
Your right Maire the Last Post does the same for me to.

It's been weird the last few days, getting really hot and muggy about 3pm and staying hot through the night.
I forgot to open the window above the bed last night and woke up a number of times through the night due to the heat.

Very cloudy here, not sure if it's going to rain or not as the wind is moving the clouds southward before they can do their thing ........... got a very dry lawn and garden!!
