[glow=red,2,300] Yes, I know some of you won't give a flock!
But hey a party really ain't a party without the resident floozy who drinks all ya piss, tries to grope your men, gets unceremoniously dumped on her ass in front of everyone when she trips over her own feet, then passes out on da couch, and ends up puking her ring out some ungodly hour of the morning after everyone else has gone home!!!
And then has the cheek to pinch your last bottle of wine out of da fridge before slinking off out the back door .....
But hey, let me know when she turns up will ya???!!! [/glow]

Real cool.Don't forget to check out the great jokes in the JOKING AROUND section. And some wonderful, thought provoking, opinion section. Please - please - feel free to add your comments, even if you don't think it will sit well with many. I'll give anyone praise & cheers for having the guts state your opinions without giving a shite about whether everyone else agrees or not! Anything personal you don't want the whole dang world to know about .... well keep it to yaself!!! lol
Above all things people, remember - its just a messageboard, but its also a community, so try to have FUN with it!

.................................................... Hi people!
Yep, I'm home from my travels, and back on my own computer at last *gently caresses keyboard* lol
Just got a few things to rabbit on about while I got some spare free time today (this doesn't happen often, so make the most of it folks!!!) hehehe ...
On the note of my travels, petrol costs chewed up my card like weetbix!
It seems we are in the midst of an energy crisis. For example, I can hardly find the energy to type this stuff to you from my over-blown imagination and under-used intellect! Oh wait, maybe that should be the other way around?! lol It doesn't stop there. A couple months back, the hydro dams were all low and yet petrol was/is still high. Well the lakes have refilled again, meanwhile petrol prices continue to soar. Are you like me, and wistfully remembering when petrol was only 89c a litre? And we thought it was expensive then! Now its 3 times that, and the government is raking off half the price in damn taxes!!
Remember not so long ago when petrol reached a dollar per litre? I do. And have we seen the any increased benefits from all this extra taxing since the days of $1 a litre?
Are the roads twice as good, or twice as safe? Or even slightly safer? Or more efficient to drive on? In my journeying up & down the countryside, I didn't notice any significant improvements.
Apart from a barrage of ineffective, scaremongering advertising that bombards those at home in front of the telly - you know the ones - the ones who drive nothing more lethal than a well-worn Lazy Boy!
So for all this extra income, sales tax, GST etc - the govt gets more of our dosh, thank you very much, and gives us sweet stuff-all back. Not even a decent tax return! I know I'm not the only one who gets pissed at the massive tax bonanza that the govt is quietly raking off us.
If someone tries to tell me I got the wrong end of the joystick, or I should stick to parking this roomy butt of mine on a bike and cycle to work to save the environment blah blah .....
Then I say "take a bleedin hike mate!"
MOAN OVER .......

........................................
Yep, its that time of the week folks - time for my weekly spill ... oops I mean spiel!!
With all the rain we've been having lately, its been allowing me the opportunity to take a good long hard look about the house (well I can't very well go outside now can I? lol) .... And my palace is in dire need a good spring clean! Who the hell came up with that concept? Spring clean? As if some race or culture only ever cleaned out their igloo's/grass huts/stone temples/sandcastles in the Springtime?! A great time for 'out with the old, in with the new' don't you think? Been clearing out the clothes closet, good lord I unearthed some of the most HIDEOUS pieces of clothing. I mean, what was I thinking?
Leopard spotted tops, tacky t-shirts, psychedelic (sp) leotards, even a paisley skirt (ugh how lame). Clearly, fashion icon I am not! So out they go! Even the young master (16) who thinks he's in charge of the castle - decided to be unanimously generous & handed me a plastic bag which, with a look of utter seriousness & aplomb, calmly stated "thats for the goodwill stores" Hey that might get the mummy's heart a fluttering I'm sure, until I looked into the bag and it contained his most holiest, raggediest, stainiest, huckeriest articles of clothing found this side of the Southern Hemisphere! Damn I wouldn't even bother putting those things in the Clothing bin, or give it away to the local homeless! So, yep its been a great time to do a good clean up. Making the most of the wet weather, and scrub, mop, rub! Because when the weather starts fining up again (in Summer) the last place I wanna be - is inside doing domestic chores. I want to be out there *points to the waterside* and enjoying the sunshine, fresh air, gardens and beautifully idyllic days. I even look forward to meeting my friends downtown for a cafe au lait or cappucino!!
For those who bother to read these utterings .....
What is it about WINTER you enjoy most?

It's that time of the week again folks, so here you go. A nice wee poem (no, not one of mine) which I think is nicely appropriate among friends! And since this here thread is located in the Welcome section, then it is definitely appropriate. Have a great week everybody
A FRIEND'S GREETING
I'd like to be the sort of friend that you have been to me; I'd like to be the help that you've been always glad to be;
I'd like to mean as much to you each minute of the day As you have meant, old friend of mine, to me along the way.
I'd like to do the big things and the splendid things for you, To brush the gray from out your skies and leave them only blue;
I'd like to say the kindly things that I so oft have heard, And feel that I could rouse your soul the way that mine you've stirred.
I'd like to give you back the joy that you have given me, Yet that were wishing you a need I hope will never be;
I'd like to make you feel as rich as I, who travel on Undaunted in the darkest hours with you to lean upon.
I'm wishing at this time that I could but repay A portion of the gladness that you've strewn along my way;
And could I have one wish this year, this only would it be: I'd like to be the sort of friend that you have been to me!
