Yeah well, someone has to say something about it! Pam Corkery struggling to come across as a serious journo but she's not pulling it off as far I'm concerned. She looks weak & scared. Can't say I blame her really.
The whole program sucks cos its like they're glorifying the gangs. Going by their numbers, there is supposedly only about 3-4000 members across the country. Thats almost less than 1% of our population. Yet, gangs seem to have the country by its balls.
Our society should not have to tolerate such shitety dregs. There is little good I can say about gangs. Of which, I refuse to apologise about. Our police are unable to exercise or exert undue pressure on gangs and their activities. Our governmental arms are tied or useless.
The rampant bullshite flying out of the mouths of the gang leaders (no, we don't do drugs) pisses this kotiro off to the max! They are killing our young while peddling their 'P' and dope. They intimidate & maim women and children. They rape & murder men, women and children. They pillage/steal & cause chaos & mayhem wherever they spit!
Time we (the communities) stood up to the assholes. They're nothing but shite-headed bullies!

There is a group of houses being built at the end of our street and the site construction manager asked if he could park the porti-office in the carsppace in front of our house. We said yes because he agreed to let us pilfer the landscape stock. lol. So I came home in the afternoon and there was orangey brown graffitti on the side of the porti. I took a can of Bam Easy Off Oven Cleaner out there and started cleaning it up. This little toad bucket comes up to me and tells me Im disrespecting someone by wiping the tag off. Im flabbergasted! Am I not allowed to take pride in my property any more? I so wanted to blast the kidin the face with the oven cleaner. I had to settle for talking to his mum instead. I think he would have prefer a face full of chemicals by the time she was finished with him.

I agree missi everytime I see some jumped up little reporter playing with jumped up little hoodlums I wonder why the hell they bother giving them air time.
I don't know that gangs can be obliterated, I mean hell they've try to do it to each other and they end up just building themselves up again. The shame of gangs in New Zealand is that basically everyone is only one or two parts removed from everyone else...its like for goodness sake why are you hating over a gang patch... your cousin, your blood? That is shameful.
I understand to some extent the origin of gangs in NZ epecially in regard to indigenous Maori but things have moved on, time to get real and get proud and celebrate in Maoritanga... not the drinking culture or the drug culture or the violent culture that mainstream bigots like to associate with Maori, but the strong perspectives of Maoridom which go back to pre European times when Maori were Adventurers, Navigators, Agriculturlists, Healers, Spiritual leaders, Gatherers, Nurturers and Providers, take all the positives and follow them through and give those thoughts to your children. A Staunch gang member could surely rise to the challenge!

Easier said than done. Gangs will never be obliterated and the community will never be able to stand up to these "assholes", because of who are in the pecking order of society. We are the scaredy cats, we have allowed their reputation to intimidate our very being. We seem to have put them in the too hard basket and let the constabularies deal with them. so perhaps we are a small part of the problem but more so the bigger part of the solution if we are prepared to sink to their level and retaliate with street justice. The way the gangs are evolving is really frightening, 'mob style' business and turf wars could be on the cards if not already. Just my crazy opinion
