Im home all day today in my warm home the sun is shining thru my windows done all my washing,..
slowly going thru my housework and posting now and again ,..
what bliss my kind of day!! will be catching up with the weekend papers later on ,..

Gosh! That brings back memories maire, I was meant to sing that at primary school concert way back when, I remember being very excited about it. But we were booked in to travel on the Silver Streak...remember that! the same night to Auckland and we had a cabin of our own with bunk beds...so that was exciting too, having never traveled in such style before, so I missed my 5 minutes of fame, but I still sing that song now and again in the shower lol.
Heres another oldie. My best friend and I used to sing this when we were performing on the hearth in the lounge room.

we had the happy wanderer as a concert dressup for the kids
we used the tune but substituted the verses for nursery rhymes
Mary had a little lamb
humpty dumpty.
little miss muffit
mary mary quite contrary
little bo peep
old mother hubbard
and many more
we made all the kids outfits
loved the spider out fit the best
two pairs of black panty hose filled for extra legs over the back of the child dressed in blacktights was so cute my 16 yr old was only 7 then
