Well at least we hope so ... lol
He's played for the Hawkes Bay Magpies, the Baby All Blacks,
The Hurricanes, and currently playing for The Maori All Blacks.
So he's getting there. We are soooooooooo proud of him!

There are big raps on this kid, Missti. He's certainly touted as an up and comer. I bet you guys are proud of him. Let's hope he makes it all the way.

Yeah and I'm hoping he'll keep his nose clean, and not get into any of the 'drinking' mischief that seems to beseige these players! He's a really good boy though. We all love him to bits. He's his mama's pride & joy. She has been the sole drive & support behind him from day one. He does her (& us) real proud. She'll keep him on the straight & narrow. (lol)

I think this is awesome. Hore is injured at the moment, but should be okay for Saturday (fingers crossed). I'm thinking Elliot might be the new sub. I think Kev's days are numbered ...

This is awesome Missti. He's bracketed with Hore and Mealamu at this stage and hasn't been named on the bench. His time is near though and I know a lot of people have high hopes for this kid. It's pretty cool that we've got the aunty of a future AB on site.

Sorry people,
I only just remembered I started this thread a couple months back, and forgot to check it.
Yes, I was in Hawkes Bay when Hika got the call up, he made big front page in the local newspaper and jokes made regarding the fact that his mobile was off & recharging so he missed the initial call! His mum is over the moon.
We are very very proud of him indeed. As a young boy, my uncle would take him running for miles as training, because he was always considered 'borderline' too heavy for his age/weight levels so have had to be very careful with his diet & heaps of exercise. We are a naturally heavy-boned family, we are built like tank trucks (sounds better than a 'brick sh*thouse" doesn't it?)
So it has been tough for him to keep within the acceptable weight range for his age etc. Keep watching him, he aint finished yet - long way from it. He does us very proud. He has plans to be a teacher when his rugby career is at its end. He'll do it.
Here's a pic of him with his big sis:
Taken after the game NZ Maori's against Manu Samoa in Hamilton
Cheers all & thanks!

There are rumours of call up for ABs -v- Manu Samoa or on the EoYT? He certainly is pushing close to the squad which is awesome.

Misstique, your Nephew is having a mighty game right now for Hawkes Bay and the commentators just can't say enough about him. They are saying that he has to go with the all blacks on their tour of Great Britain soon.
My opinion? Yep he's real good.
