to catch up with an old mate from NZ, Gore to be exact. He and his wife are taking a trip around Europe and will be in Amsterdam for two days, so I am going down to meet them tomorrow. Will probably do a bit of shopping whilst I'm down there - the American Book Centre here I come!! And there is also a Kiwi shop that I plan on looking for as well, that sells pies and other NZ things (peanut slabs for one)!!

When it's Spring again I'll bring again Tulips from Amsterdam With a heart thats true I'll give to you Tulips from Amsterdam I can't wait until the day you fill These eager arms of mine Like the windmill keeps on turning That's how my heart keeps on yearning For the day I know we can share these Tulips from Amsterdam

oooooooooooooooooooo who is it from Gorrrrrrrrrrrre??? lol the one and only I mentioned waaaaaaay back on Old Friends. I went to the Kiwi shop first, got blardy blisters from walking that far (took the tram back). It's a TINY wee shop and they didn't really have much on hand, no peanut slabs. But I did get a tin of milo and some bottles of sauce. They're waiting on an assignment apparently. But the good thing is I can order by post as well. Met up with my friend and his wife later on, we had coffee and then did a bit of shopping (souvenirs) and ended up by having dinner at a really good pizzeria that I know there. Bottle of wine, etc. They are both lovely people.
