237 million dollars profit not enough apparently, bastards are holding us all to ransom. 14 dollar a month increase for Wellingtonians and South Islanders, I would have thought the majority of power both industrial and personal would be used where the majority of people lived and worked namely Auckland. Anyway no matter where the increases they cannot be justified in my opinion.

Contact Energy Directors looking to double salaries from $300,000 a year to... you work it out! Meanwhile we've all been stung with a 14 percent increase in our power bills...Disgusting greedy bastards. My power bill is currently costing around $400 a month, I'm wondering how oldies on pensions are managing to keep warm this winter let alone the next - Contact and Mercury Energy are sucking consumers dry of regular incomes.
Hospitals are inundated this time of year with very young and the very old diagnosed with winter illnesses, it makes me rip roaring mad that some may have been trying to save on costs by freezing rather than keeping warm due to the high cost of power - Which cannot be justified!
Thank goodness for us being robbed not only personally but in our taxes as well - if we didn't help to provide a free health system some people would freeze to bloody death! So thanks contact and mercury energy for insuring that our tax payer dollars are spent in saving the lives of
people who you'd otherwise happily see drop dead of cold. PIGS!

Would be awesome if all New Zealanders boycotted the Power Companies mentioned by not paying their bill for a couple of months, see if the aholes like that!
