I'd just like to say thanks for allowing the link to be posted on here..

hello Muddyboots/grannypam - don't know if you remember me from trademe, I used to post there under the same name - until I got the boot because of living outside of NZ. Welcome to Groovies - shame it was under such sad circumstances.

Hi yollie .. you would also know me by another name on zillion.. I have up my membership there ages ago though..
It might be prudent of me to say no more but I am not liking what I have seen there these last few days..
however thats as they say a whole 'nother story..

Hi Muddyboots. Welcome to Groovies. It was sad to hear of the passing of helenc (known as Minx on here). I think you're doing a really lovely thing by organising flowers.

thanks sparrow.. being able to do something has helped in a small way to ease a bit of the numbness that set in when I got the news.
I have always been a bit of an old cynic when it comes to online grief and fundraisers etc .. but this is somehow very diiferent..

ohh pam its just so sad because it was completely unexpected
just been reading one of her daughters posts in zillion in her ID handle
what a privilidge it is for them to read all about thier mums online tributes
a side they would have never even dreamed of,... but now it is lifes most wonderful gift to them from their Mum and her online friends
thank goodness sparrow asked for the link for the donations
or else I may have kept it to myself without thinking ,..its all good!!
what are we all friends for other than to be here for each other!

I have always been a bit of an old cynic when it comes to online grief and fundraisers etc .. but this is somehow very diiferent.. i know the feeling pam and welcome.i was gonna give you a link to here, but someone must have beat me to it... ive never met helen, but chatted via email and pms regularly and traded with her heaps on z and once on tm...it hit me like a steam roller,i was gutted. i will truly miss her.i never thought it would hit me like it did, considering we'd never met.

Well we have had a 24 hr break at the beach.. it was nice to get away from phones and emails for a wee while ..but its nice to be home as they say...
Yep punga..I have always been somewhat sceptical about the outpourings of grief on mbs etc.. but somehow helens passing has absolutely shattered me .. much more than I would ever have expected..
My heart will be with her family tomorrow ..

I'm hoping Helen/Minx has the best send off ever. My thoughts have been with her family and our groovie family.
She gets to hi and throw her arms around her cherished loved ones now.
