JANUARY 28, 2009 A southern California mother experienced the miracle of birth eight times in 5 minutes. The women gave birth to octuplets — only the second live set ever.
The women had six boys and two girls at Kaiser Permanante Bellflower Medical Center in Southern California. The hospital had originally scheduled the cesarean section expecting only seven babies. Even the doctors were not expecting the eighth baby, which came as a surprise at the time of delivery. All of the babies weighed between 1.8 and 3.4 pounds. The babies will stay at the hospital for at least two months, while the mother should be released in a week.
”The babies are all doing well and the mom is also doing well. There were no complications from the surgery to the best of my knowledge,” said Dr. Harold Henry, chief of maternal and fetal medicine at the hospital.

its easy for her to feed them
I had to express lots of my milk cos my 9lb baby couldnt drink it all
they fed it to the prem babies and other babies who were bottle and tube fed
this ladies babies are only little and they may not be able to latch on to her
its hard enuff for normal size babies to do that
express pump,.. many hands on deck,... and rotation will be the way for her to go
mummy aint going anywhere in a hurry
and at least she will be able to give her babies a good start

They're looking after the older ones at the moment. The parents looked fricking exhausted. And now there are more kids without a father? Hmmmm.
