I knew that Maori have a lesser life expectancy - but I did NOT know that the past systems have to be blamed for that! Its not about blame manuela its about providing a service which works. Like development of any new service or an new objective put forward in regard to health, 'Improvement' is the key word here.

That is true that it isn't about blame Lux but you know as well as me that Maori are worse off because of the past.
I realise that it's not only what the British NZ governments have done but also that Maori like all other indigenous peoples of the world to have been colonised were always going to be behind their colonisers adjusting to their ways of life. After all, they were the way of life of the colonisers. Also like most indigenous peoples to have been colonised, Maori have had huge stumbling blocks placed in front of them by their colonisers.
Only the ignorant would not understand it.
