Was at a meeting last night where a idea of a Pacific Union was floated along the lines of the EU. Some at the meeting saw this as a possible way for sustainable economic for the pacific. I don't see this as a solution because of sovereignty issues in the various island states not to mention NZ.

I don't know what do you think?
