Sad news .. a big loss to the world of pop music It's not often I take TMOps mervyns words seriously, but I found this post of his very moving ........ "The Zany guy with the Zany double jointed kneecaps--sure knew how to put together a music Video--now he'll release his new Galactic Album--"Heaven" and we'll never -ever hear it!!!!"

Seriously I feel like my childhood is under attack. Farrah and now Michael? OMG. In the same day! I'm waiting for the Hoff or William Shatner from Star Trek to kick it (or worse ... Leonard (Spock) Nimoy) to make this day completely horrible.
RIP Farrah and Michael.

I watched that last night too, pretty amazing the changes over time - I read somewhere theres probably about another 30 years worth of Michael Jackson sitting in archives having not been released, tracks that didn't make it to albums, songs he cut from tours , video etc... and there will probably be a massive shitee fight over who gets to release it all, Sony reckon they have the contract - not sure when the contract is up though.
I do love Earth Song the video is amazing, the message is really powerful I love it when they all get down and put there energy to the earth...brilliant video.

Really hit a nerve when his daughter spoke...omg heartbreak. Took my big son out this morning for a holiday treat we were going to go to the movies but he opted for Michaels History, Past present an future CD set instead, with all our favorites on it and some other bits and pieces.

I was a bit of a mess too. He provided the soundtrack to most of my generation's life! I just can't believe he's gone and then again ... I feel blessed. Our generation has lived in the time of giants. There will never be another Michael Jackson. Like someone else said: Elvis was the King of Rock, Michael was the King of Pop. I thought his daughter, Paris, was incredible. She opened the flood-gates that I'd been holding back.
When it was first announced Michael had gone, I was in complete denial. And then the radio station started to play a tribute to him. I thought NOOOOOOOOO. It's too early for tributes. I can't accept he's gone yet. I jumped out of the chair to switch the radio off and then they played: "Man in the mirror". The opening lines and tune nearly cut me open, and even though it was painful, I listened to that tribute because once his music started to play, it felt disrespectful to turn the radio off.
RIP Michael Jackson. You truly fly and sing with the angels now. Wishing you peace, love and light. The world is a lot less shiny for your absence.
Ki tua o te arai - you have gone beyond.
