This has been an annual event for 20 years. Ok student antics were out of control this year. But in the past it has normally been one annual event that causes laughter and hilarity on campus and the journey south. However given today’s young adult’s attitude towards alcohol and the binge drinking culture I’m not suprised riots broke out.
I truly hope it continues but with more foresight and event organising from both Dunedin and Canterbury Student Assn.

Just takes a few hundred eggs to ruin everything. Do you think the lowering of the drinking age has resulted in youngsters going the extra mile? Off their faces.

Yeah I do. I strongly opposed the lowering of the age. I do think parents need to take some responsiblilty. My son 17 has started drinking. I'm not stopping him because he's going to did anyway. What I have done is taught him sensibility around booze and also how to ring home. So far so good.
