Has anyone heard what is happening at Boulcott Hopsital? Lux I just missed you it seems, as you've just been in and being the only one from the area, you may have heard something. I drove past the hospitals about 45 mins ago and they were evacuating patients from Boulcott over to Hutt. Fire engines, ambulances and police everywhere. I'm wondering if there may have been a major gas leak. There was a tv camera crew there so it will be on the news tonight I guess. Curiosity got the better of me and I wanted to know sooner ;D No threads on TM when I last looked either. Tried to find a radio station in the car that gives the news, but couldn't find anything except sport ..... that's what happens when your sports mad husband uses the car and when more mature people like me, don't know how to tune the car radio

Good! maybe one of the oldies finally found the strength to burn the hellhole down! Haven't heard anything as yet maire. But I can assure you I have very very bad memories of the place when my Nan was in there for respite care during her cancer.

Yes that wouldn't endear you to the place, lots of sad memories The people I saw being evacuated all looked to be elderly and I wondered why they were exposing them to the public by wheeling them up High St to Hutt hosp. It dawned on me later that if there had been a gas leak, they may have thought the fresh (cold) air, would do them good. News is on soon, so I might learn something then.

Miserable bastards otherwise may have had to pay the ambulance service. Sour as cats piss that lot. Might have been quite nice for the oldies to see outside their cells.

Ok, so what happened was there was a bomb scare at Hutt Hospital which saw a lot of the oldies evacuated, missed the news but my mum filled me in, she said they had to find places for the oldies as they were put out on the street and it was too cold for them, what you must have seen Maire was the staff taking some of the elderly down to Bloomfield hospital to get them out of the cold or bringing them back from bloomfield hospital. I wonder if the fool who rang in claiming there were bombs in the hospital realises how many lifes he may have put at risk. Stupid idiot!

Sorry Maire I was thinking Bloomfield Hospital (Bloomfield Terrace) not Boulcott in regard to my Nan.
