Hope you and your family and friends are all okay Koko ... I checked out the Geonet site earlier as my son said a big earthquake woke him around 4am and I see you've had a huge one and others following that. Must have been a hell of a shock getting woken up with that.

thanks maire.im a wee way out of town and there doesnt appear to be any visible damage in this area.on the bright side...there should be buggar all unemployment in and around chch for a while as there is a hell of a lot of work to be done. kaipoi (just nth of chch) took a real hammering...
