How bad the Feb 2011 quake in Christchurch has been is beginning to sink in only now. My deepest condolences to those of you who may have lost friends or relatives. I hope the search for survivors will not be given up easily. We know of cases in Asia (Iran, Turkey etc) where people -- I remember a case of a centenarian woman-- have been rescued even after several weeks and have made it alive.
