 God of the Top and of the Bottom Written by Bob & Debby Gass Friday, 29 November 2013 '...Underneath are the everlasting arms....' Deuteronomy 33:27 NKJV Addressing the nation of Israel for the last time, Moses told them, 'There is no one like the God of Israel. He rides across the Heavens to help you...The eternal God is your refuge, and His everlasting arms are under you...' (Deuteronomy 33:26-27 NLT). As you read the Bible you discover God did a lot of spectacular things for His people on mountaintops. On Mount Moriah, He met with Abraham and Isaac, revealing Himself as 'Jehovah Jireh', which means 'the Lord will provide.' On Mount Horeb, He spoke to Moses through a burning bush and changed the nation of Israel's destiny. On Mount Sinai, He gave the Ten Commandments. On Mount Carmel, He sent down fire from Heaven, consuming the prophets of Baal and turning the hearts of His people back to Him. But suddenly Moses made a shift in the middle of telling about this great God of high places. It is as though he was thinking, 'I can't leave these people with the thought that God is only on top; that He's with us only when everything is going right.' So he continued, 'The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms.' The Hebrew word for 'underneath' means 'bottom'. So it could be translated, 'God's arms are underneath you when you're on the bottom.' No matter how deep the valley you have to walk, God's presence is deeper. It may feel like you are down today, but you cannot go so low that He is not there. Underneath you are His everlasting arms. God of the bottom......that'd be right, who's bottom this time, yours or Bighorn's. lol It's clear by your posts stevee that you are mentally unwell, my wife and I will continue to pray for you, I say this with a heartfelt compassion for you as we genuinely do care about people . It's not only you but several depressed posters also on other message boards that post filth about our Lord Jesus with degrading cartoons etc and we also know that spiritually they are tormented by satan when they do such a terrible thing, otherwise like you , why would you bother ? |

Satan isn't real, only in comic books and movies. Who's unwell, someone who mocks someone for their weird mythical beliefs or the person who believes in demons and evil and darkness.

You've got nothing except to turn this around back to me.... Priceless ! Seriously, if someone came up to you on the streets and told you they believed that demons and satan are acting through a person they knew on the internet, you'd run a mile, call the cops and hope they get the help they clearly need. Help is a phone call away.... Pick up the phone, imagine how much less stress and unhappiness you could be feeling without your mind playing these games with you  There's no proof, there's never been any proof........ There never ever will be any proof...... You're wasting your life and torturing yourself for no reason. Free yourself..... Free your mind. Just look at it rationally, you know deep within yourself the answers you're looking for haven't been answered, you have more questions than there are answers, and those answers came from you, no one else but you. You have what it takes to live a life without the fears that make you want to believe. Millions upon millions of people live without the god myth in their lives and are not diminished by that, in fact they're at peace, there's no inner turmoil, no need to constantly rely on happy clapper propaganda from the Gass' to try and keep their chin up. There's no need to discipline yourself or judge yourself or even your thoughts against a set of rules made up by people who wanted to control the masses thousands of years ago. Just think...... You need to reflect, take stock and step back and really have a hard look without filtering it through your indoctrination. Please don't just turn what I've said around and put it back on me, you owe it to yourself, find something else to fill the void that religion has filled for you. The pretend, forced happiness that christians try to portray is the best sign that they're not happy. |
