Wonderful send off for Sir Ed

That was lovely, kept fairly simple I thought. I'm sure would have instilled pride in everyone who knew him and those who saw him as a wonderful kiwi role model. He said himself he was just an ordinary bloke...but he wasn't, that is pretty evident.

That is beautiful Lux.

And so was the service. A lot of heartfelt and interesting tributes.
Some a little long, some very short, some emotional (Sam? the grandson) and the old friend with the white beard I thought were very poignant.
As was the casket being piped out, with the haka[?] performed at the end of that very long walk. I got rather teary eyed as they neared the hearse and missed what they children were performing.

Was a good send off for him. I liked the families speeches and Tenzing's sons words. Missed the haka, darn, apparantly written especiallly for the occasion.

The royal's send off live TV1 at 11.00pm boardcast tonight.

Nice but a rep still should have attended his funeral service.
