I've had the fire going most of the day Lux, so it's nice and warm in my house. I went out onto the deck to put my plants on the ledge to get watered (by the rain) and my thermometer out there read 7oC at about 4pm. I hope my sisters up in Upper Hutt aren't too cold ;D I'm supposed to be going up there tomorrow for lunch but might leave it

It's a bit of a shock after the brilliant day we had in the Hutt yesterday. My boy is on holidays and is champing at the bit to go out and I will not be telling him about the snow up there. He was saying only a few days ago he would like to go and see and touch snow. We were coming home along High street and could see the snow on the Ruahine or Taraura range[?]. Looks beautiful at a distance, but being right there in it is not so good.

Well its all turned to crap here as well. Last week it was upto and around 20 C, pretty sunny, very pleasant. But since yesterday we have had a lot of rain, and today its a lot colder, about 15 C. Summer has officially started along with the longest day, but its like autumn at the moment. I'll just keep looking forward to my summer holidays, Friday week we are off to the south of France for two weeks, I can hardly wait!!

Well we didn't have as much rain last week. We were about the only ones in the whole country that stayed pretty dry, lol. Most of it here fell in the morning or night and then it cleared up during the afternoon. At the moment its looking quite nice outside, the wind has died down from f 9 last night to about 3-4 and the sky is clear, pretty sunny actually! Not very warm though, but waaaay better than yesterday!

Hope you are safe Cookie. I saw on the news a few days ago they were having terrible floods in parts of the UK. Hope there haven't been any more deaths and that the weather improves soon for all in the N.Hemis.

The weather forecast has promised us sun today, and it looks like it. The sun is actually shining into the back of the house at this very moment (9.15 a.m.) and the sky is blue!! We may actually get a wee bit of summer yet!

Luffly here!! Hit 25 yesterday and sunshine all day long, oh how i've missed it lol!!!! Still nice today altho its starting to cloud over a little, we are on a mission to clean out the garden today, lots of crap in it, old bikes etc! John is away to the tip with one van load already, we've cut down trees! BUT i can guarantee that since we are doing this cos the kids have new swimming pool, it will P down by the weekend!!!!
We are looking at a holiday on ebay at the moment, a cottage in Wales for the end of August. Whether I get it or not depends on how much people bid lol. Trouble with John's work - not much call for gas central heating in this weather lol

hi there stranger!! Nice to see you pop in. We're still having dry weather here, a bit cloudy now but still a nice 20-21 C. I'm in the midst of preparing for our scouting camp next week, we leave on Monday and coming back next week Saturday (5 days). My daughter's group will be staying there for another 5 days, but with the younger girls (up to 12 yo) 5 days is enough. So I'm hoping like heck it will stay nice next week at least!! Its been a bit of a rained on summer holidays up till now!

Well I'm back from camp! And we had pretty good weather, a bit of rain some nights but it stayed dry during the day. And the wind was pretty good for sailing, bit rough now and then but manageable. Today started off lovely, but its clouded over now and feeling a bit chilly so I guess I will go and put some long sleeves on, lol.

Well it's the monsoon season in Delhi. Which means it can start raining anytime. Between the spells of rain it becomes a bit sultry. The monsoon is still important in our part of the world. The countryside changes colour almost overnight from dry brown to lush green. But there are always floods in some parts which spells trouble for those affected. Once we had floods in some parts of Delhi. But that was several years ago. Ringdove
