Good question.. I think its a good thing although i dont yet see a whole agreeance to it within Maoridom and that kind of confuses me. I guess time will tell.

Dunno. I've heard the term mentioned in regard to Maori sovereignty, but don't really know.

Whoa, You've been digging deep Caz It is significant in that it defines Maori Sovereignty within the integrity of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, it also Gives Maori weight in putting forth grievances in relation to inequality and the outright dishonouring of articles of the treaty. Personally for me it means self sovereignty, which for me is celebrating who I am and utilizing qualities within myself which are inherently Maori, to be the best that I can be.

Wow - your personal explanation is brilliant. I've never seen Tino Rangatiratanga personalised, only in terms of a group. I've heard many definitions and interpretations but your one just sums it up in a nut shell.
