I thought he acquitted himself quite well. My politics are centre-left, but I have been watching Johnny Boy's rise with interest.
What are other people's views on him?

I don't trust him either, but he looks to be quite media savvy. Hubby thinks he's going to be the next PM - although neither of us are voting for him.

Lol TeRau, I tend to think "boofhead" when I see him but it's not his appearance that worries me, I just don't trust him. There is something niggling at the back of my mind and I think it's got to do with his being involved with Brash, the BRT and also the EB fiasco. His rise to leader of National is far too reminiscent of Brashs, both are/were relatively new to politics, both have financial backgrounds and the feeling I have that Key has been handpicked for the job, is as strong as it was when Brash took the job. He definitely has been expertly groomed for the role of PM and I hope all my misgivings about his motives (or his puppetmasters motives) come to nothing.

I don't call him dork based on him being National. I quite liked Bill English when he led the party. He seemed to legitimately care about people. Brash and this fulla don't come across as caring leaders to me.
Your hubby may well be right Anna but it is only a two horse race so he does have a good chance of being right. I too think that National will win the next election but only because I think people are so fickle that they will vote them in JUST for a change.

I'm reserving my judgement on him. I trust politicians about as much as I trust car salesmen, even though I have a good friend that's a MP.

Very media wise. I look forward to his imminent rise to "prime ministership."
