when other Countries are recalling products and giving damning reports?

are they really Lux? Hopefully they do check out those products that they clear then.
There have been quite a few products here recently recalled, there was a Fisher Price toy with too much lead in the paint. Not sure what else, but have read about some products being recalled that weren't up to standards.
Looks like its a matter of "all about the money"!

The other night on one of the current affairs programs, the wowsers were bleating on that some NZ fresh food products came off worse than china products, they mentioned a couple of things, the quality of spinach and celery NZ made and said that ingredients and other food stuffs being imported from China are fine in comparison. Interesting how our Government is willing to stomp all over our home market gardeners in order to stay in China's good books.
Also it really peeved me off that our Government was on orders from China Government to ignore the Dali Lama during his stay here...how pathetic is that.

I still prefer to buy NZ made or heaven forbid aussie. Remember the "Jap Crap" phrase? Well Japan listened, China just seems to cover up and provide bully lip service. It's a shame NZ who is strong in other international setting is bowing down to Chinese Trade.
And yeah Lux our government was pathetic over the Dali Lama shame they didn't show the same conviction they had with Nelson Mandela - Human Rights. eeeww
