Well I have had a fun afternoon/evening!! My oldest has broken a bone in his hand, not sure what caused it, could be a number of things!
My baby (git) kicked him the other day, then on Tuesday he got knocked over in school playground, and today he caught his finger and bent it back. But he is in a half cast/half bandage til next Wednesday, then off to the Fracture Clinic we go ;D And they will xray it again and decide whether to leave it off, or plaster him for 2-3 weeks!! What a great bloody start to the summer, only 2 weeks til school breaks up!

Ugh! Boys! My son is 12 years old and I still can't let him get dressed up until 5 mins before we get in the car to go out anywhere special cause the little rat would have slid down the bank, climbed a tree, gotten grease all over from his bike or something before we go. I'm like...you can get dressed now and sit right there and don't move before we leave. LOL Hope all other bones stay intact for the rest of the week at least! rdsmum.

Damn and blast!!!!! I shouldn't have said what I did up above, it was tempting fate My nearly 24 yr old came home from work tonight with a hole in the palm of his hand and a huge swelling on the top of his hand. He shot a screw, via a screw gun into his hand. I asked if it was still in there and he said no, he'd pulled it out. The stupid boy has gone out, he wouldn't go to the doctor or the hospital. And yes, he is the same son who was accident prone as a child. They never do change

My Boys are soon to be 17 and 15. Today I had to take 16 year old to hire a suit for a Formal next week. $100.00 later a teary mother walked out absolutely shocked at how great her son looked in mainstream clothes. My elder boy is a self confessed bogan. So I echo your sentiment rdsman "Blardy Kids". He made is mother cry.

My boys havent done to bad this month but my sisters had a terrible one with hers. My oldest nephew ended up in hospital with burnt feet from laying some type of foundation down, didnt have the appropriate footwear and the other one wiped out some of his knuckles with some machinery at work. He ended up at the hospital to. They are driving her mad because they arent giving themselves time to heal properly. They want to get out there again. She cant figure them out because when they get things like a little thorn in the finger or the flu they act like their on deaths bed and she never hears the end of it.lol.

hmmm...I'm thinking that the flu or a thorn in the finger doesn't carry a war wound so they can stay at home and moan about those things where as a hole in the hand, broken bone, smashed fingers, are worth showing the boys! LoL...Any males around here willing to oppose this opinion are most welcome

Well Ive been onto the school today, and told them what I think!! The truth finally came out last night and it turns out he was 'chicken legged' (That is when you kick someone in the back of the knee and knock them over) And thats what happened when he got 'knocked' over in the playground. I've done my nut at the school and feel much better for it! I am convinced this is what broke his hand as the bruising never started until a day after this incident! He is at home today cos he decided he didn't want to go to school!! My other 2 have teacher only day today so are at home as well.

God!!! Who invented boy? I spent another hour at the hospital yesterday getting his plaster/bandage sorted! Where some of the swelling started going down it had become loose and was moving round. He's back at school today, but is staying inside for playtime/lunchtime. The little git that did it to him is in deep deep poo at school, and is on last warning before getting suspended! YES!!!! He told Rob at the disco on Friday that he 'will get him' for telling on him, and of course Rob was a bit worried! But Ive told him to tell the kid that HE better watch out cos I'M gonna get him lol This is blardy boys at 10 years old, I am totally dreading the teenage years! I've got it to look forward to 3 times over lol!

Got them dressed to go out yesterday, and while I was getting myself sorted, my baby (6) sneaked outside and tried to 'fix' his bike!! Had to get him showered and redressed before could go out!!

I had a year 6 boy picking on my son in yr 3, so i got him in the morning in front of his mates and gave him a right telling off, a few days later he said he was going to get my son and his granddad was going to get me, i passed this on to the school. Then i spotted him after school giving the fingers to son, i was walking a ways back, any way got in the car and drove towards home and saw him walking with his father, so i slammed on the brakes jumped out of the car ran across the road and had a word with his father, he said he would sort it, so far i haven't heard of any more incidents.. in sept this yr 6 boys comes to the high school where i work lol...

Theres some real nasty little gits at the schools here!! Things seemed to have calmed down at Robs school, his hand is on the mend, no cast, just a support. Schools break up this week for the long long summer and the kids seem to be really worn out. We are going to the Isle of Wight for a day next week, only 40 minute ferry ride from here. Lots to do there, but the kids want to go to a place called amazon world. www.amazonworld.co.ukLooks quite good, there are also a couple of vineyards there and a garlic farm!!

I asked my son why he was 1/2 hour late from school and he goes... "Well it's like this mum I was outside burger king and you how it was raining this morning well the weather drove the billy goats down from the Cashmere Hill and I was attacked by them outside BK but I put up a good fight and I have a hand full of screws to prove it." Which he presented - he's 17years
Well what can one say lol
