I know a couple of people who have hooked up on line, left partners and started romances with people they've met on the net.

I know a lady who met an American fellow on line, he moved here, they were married, he spent a lot of time travelling outside of the Country for his job...eventually, his wife found out he was also married to a woman in Australia.

my son met his present wife online theyve been together 4yrs,.. and married since last xmas,..seems to be working for them,..they have a little girl,..2 yrs old

I know of a guy who, after his marriage went bust, met up with an old flame through the internet, and they got together again and are apparently blissfully happy!

Diana: that sounds lovely.
I'm interested in this phenomenon because I think it will probably occur more and more frequently. One of the things that kind of interests me is the psychology of it. Like people who are married and feel the need to flirt with people on line. There was an interesting thread elsewhere talking asking is flirting on-line cheating? Some of the discussions were really interesting.

From the attempts I've seen, it causes nothing but trouble.
An ex neighbour married a guy she had met through another dating medium, he was an absolute horror. I found out a few years after moving, that he had met someone else through the internet and left her.
I felt sorry for her, but also relief that he had gone from her life.
It still makes me feel ill thinking of the pig.

yeah sparrow,.. Ive seen some interesting threads in Trademe from some of the posters that were once upon a time in there,..succesful experiences of online romances ,...
I had been invited to a site made up of Nz'ers, who have met online, and married american people, mostly woman..
they have interaction with each other and help out kiwis who may need help with finding thier way overseas...actually its much like the parenting thread in TM,....
the last time I was there, someone from england had hooked up...I loved it,
They have invited me back,....so will go back to visit again soon fascinating ,..never know my luck eh!!

havent seen a decent online romance in yonks anywhere on cyber land otherwise,..and whatever there is anyway is grotty and not worth mentioning ,..
