We heard this afternoon that our elderly neighbour's house (two doors down) was broken into some time this morning!! She goes to visit her husband (who is in a home) most days, leaving in the morning and coming back in the afternoon and it happened during that time, so they must have been aware of her schedule. When we got home this afternoon there were police officers in the street questioning all the neighbours, asking if we had seen anyone just before midday, wearing a cap, walking through the street. We were away this morning though, so didn't see anyone. But... about 3 weeks ago Martin saw a young man with a cap at the lady's house, she had the door nearly closed and was arguing with him, telling him he had to go away now and not come back. It was her grandson, who is by all accounts a drug addict. Makes one wonder!!! Not to say that it was her grandson that broke in, but you never know!

Sorry to hear that Yollie, and sorry, but I think the police will be looking at her grandson as the prime suspect at this stage...

Yeah thats what we were thinking too. They will be taking a long hard look at the grandson, particularly after what was seen/heard. But it all comes down to whether or not there is enough evidence to charge him. I feel so for the lady, to have this happen whilst her husband is so ill too.

We just discovered that we were broken into I know it was kids because they took my son's cellphone from the dining room table and my bottle of rum however they left all my wines. Idiots. If they had taken one particular bottle they could have sold it for a couple of hundred.
But it gets better - the idiot had the number changed so we reported the thief and left the rest up to the police. See you in court idiot

I'm sorry to hear that!
They can apparently still track the IMEI number if you have it, it belongs to the phone no matter what the phone number is.
What a pain in the behind though, you have so much work and bother from something like that happening. I hope they manage to get the little shites!!

Sometimes I wonder how we have never been broken into! We've left teh garage door wide open and it leads to the house! We had someone knock us up at midnight to tell us lol More often than not the back door is left un locked ! Cars are always un locked. I dont know why we do it!
