Cheers koko .... I haven't had a correct guess for a while so I Googled this one "There were actually two Aztec Calendars and they were both based on the Mayan Calendars. One of them, called the Xiuhpohualli Calendar consisted of 365 days and was used for farming and normal daily life. The other, known as The Tonalpohualli, had 260 days and was used for worship and observing rituals."

Our wonderful world:
What colour is insect blood?
Post by maire on Aug 26, 2007 18:41:43 GMT 12
[glow=red,2,300]Red? [/glow] Are spiders classed as insects? It's been many years since I was at school Hubby was picking up some firewood and I saw something moving, it was a monstrous big f/tunnel web spider, whichever one we have in NZ. In the interests of my not having a heart attack if it happened to get within 6 feet of me, I ordered him to squash it (sorry Misi). The point of the story being .. there was a big browny red stain left on the concrete, hence insect blood is red (I hope).

I looked on Wikipedia and the only thing I can find is that the equivalent of blood in insects is known as hemolymph, and has a "cyano-like tint". Not sure what colour cyano is though!!

Cyan is bluey green, Yollie. Perhaps that is the answer .... bluey green.Lux ...... thanks, now I will be having nightmares about spiders crawling all over me. ;D Diana I'm very very very sorry, really I am ;D ;D.... but it was a case of him or me and he wasn't so incy ... he was a big black hairy scary creepy crawly thing that I have a real phobia of. I have to admit I can't kill them myself.
