I don't think I've read any of his books! The name doesn't ring a bell at all!!! Yollie have you seen the movie the Power of One? The book by Bryce Courtenay is way better than the movie, I also recommend Tandia which is the book after The Power of One, and my favourite out of his books. The Potato Factory, Tommo and Hawk, and Solomons Song is a triology, which starts in the convict days of Australia, a lot of the second book is based in New Zealand during the Land Wars...excellent reading. April Fool's Day is the true story of Bryce Courtenay's son and his journey through life with Aids, 'heart wrenching'. Smokey Joe's cafe, is a true story too I think, about Some Australian Vietnam vets, who find an 'extraordinary' way to raise funds for treatment for children of Vietnam vets who suffered cancers suspected to be inherited from their fathers' exposure to Agent Orange. I've enjoyed reading all of his books
