I can make men blind, or help them see. I can tear down mountains, and build castles. I'm useful for telling time, but too numerous to count.

Our Wonderful World:
Approximately how many species of Frogs are there?
|
|
|
Post by bossybitch on Oct 7, 2007 14:38:30 GMT 12
You should have seen my origami frog.....took Miss3 two secs to mutilate what looked like the cat had already devoured. 5 250 although about 250 are near extinxtion since the 80s due to all sorts of things. Are there really no frogs in South Island. Wow, you guys really are missing out on a great thing. I remember having a tadpole as a kid and watching the change until we released it as a frog later on down the local creek. So if there are you should let them know they still are there, cause on the map in Wiki you have none. None what-so-ever. Bad!

Its a crimson colour and comes from scales of insects but not sure which one - read this the other day, just another piece of useless information.

It's from a spider isn't it?

|
|
Post by Lux on Oct 8, 2007 15:45:51 GMT 12
Correct: Cochineal is the name of both crimson or carmine dye and the cochineal insect (Dactylopius coccus), a scale insect in the suborder Sternorrhyncha, from which the dye is derived.

Laughter is one...I went into this site How Stuff works and stress, It was very informative and it is amazing how some things work for people to relieve stress while others need more. Sleep, relaxation, massages(ahhh and theres a thought), are a few. So even though a goggled to get those answers I still agree with George.

What percentage of the worlds population is left handed?

Post by bossybitch on Oct 9, 2007 17:32:10 GMT 12
Hmmmm my guess is 35%... just a stab. My whangai bro was, two brothers and one daughter. I am dextri wot eva as I can write with both, although not perfectly with my left. They still say my daughter holds her pen wrong...as long as I can read it fine. And if you ask me I cant understand the 4th form Deans writing or wot eva year they call it now. Actually some right handed people are way worse writers so I applaud all Lefties.

snap bossy, I am also ambidextrous. I also do lots of other things left handed, like ironing - I just swap to which hand is the handiest, lol.
I'll give a guess too, 30% just a bit less I think.
