wow, thats a toughie to find!! Latin name is geranium sanguineum. I only found the Dutch version which is slightly different and is used for throat infections (gargling).

According to my book on Medicinal plants, it's used as a haemostatic (an agent to stop bleeding) & as it causes the skin and mucous membranes to constrict, it is probably effective when taken internally for diarrhoea.

I found some more on it.....it can be used for these * Burns * Eczema * Edema * Fluid Retention * Neuralgia * PMS Symptoms (including swollen breasts) * Poor Circulation * Rheumatism * Tonsillitis But Im not allowed to use it. Geranium may irritate sensitive skin. Avoid use during pregnancy due to antispasmodic properties Some amazing stuff....I prefer succulents and cacti. Don't have to water them too much and they keep the cats from popping.

Just on the newsfront, I heard a bit of the news this morning and someone got in trouble for naming their teddy bear Mohammed. True story...don't know where I was waking at the time...And to think it was a popular name.
