Scruffy if you are around, could you tell me why I can no longer
use the scroll function on my mouse after I installed the Java software for the chat option in here?
These are the small but annoying things my computer does when I download and install certain programs and I would love an explanation as to why it happens. Cheers.

I am not sure on that, but you are not alone its done it too me as well, its only happening on the index page, when going in one level my scrolling returns, it only affects this site all other sites scroll normal.
me thinking that for me its only here with the java chat thats been added, thats causing the prob, let me know if you are getting the exact same or if its everywhere you go that it happens -runs off to check settings of java seen I am not the only one....

from my reading i would guess that the java chat program used here has a bug in it, there was a bug in earlier releases of java that affected the mouse scrolling, I thinks this was passed on to the chat prog, I am using the latest version of java so there is no updates for it, and no settings that I can change to help (as far as i know) so a check on the chat prog for an update or some coding error has been included in the installation of the chat. might be the cause - passes on to admin lol

Yes, same here, it's just on the index page. I suppose I can put up with that and I still have the other automatic [?] scrolling function on the mouse. Thanks scruffy, it makes me feel better knowing I'm not the only one who has the problem  |

Oh dear thats no good, we may have to dump the chat program, and prehaps set up a mIRC channel with libnk for those wishing to live chat? What do you all think, don't really want to be slowing up peoples browsing here because of the chat program, which is easily removed. |

yep thats fixed the scrolling, i wonder what about the chat was causing that effect. very very strange i feels
