You will see this function in the message box on the side bar when you click on 'reply' to a post, or when you post a thread.
If you click on select smilie it will give you a list of images, if you click on one of those, the image will appear in the box provided, if you want to use the image in your post, click on the image.
Otherwise you could click on 'View all smilies' that will bring up a small window which will show you all of the smilies, if you click on any of them they will appear in your post.

ok dats interesting, I have firefox crashing when using the smilies, as posting that last post it crashed, and had to start FF in safe mode to get it working, maybe I need to be using IE for this site....

Hmmm don't know whats going on there scruffy, I use firefox and all is ok, occassionly things slow down but not all the time.

I used Firefox for a while and had problems with it when using Hotmail and an MSN forum. It wouldn't allow you to use the emoticons, or any of the other options, eg text size, colour etc and I couldn't upload any images into messages. Once I went back to IE, I had no problems.
