One is my daughter (left) and the other my niece. They were both born in December, only 11 days apart. The other picture is my dad, also born in December. (thats about the only page I have filled in yet, lol)

Cool! I like that idea, I think the kids in my extended family would love to see a calendar made up of them represented in their birthday months, mind you that could have implications for me

you can get calendars made up with photos thru internet here, just download the software and put in the pictures that you want on the pages of the month - even on the days, its really neat. If you do a perpetual calendar (no year) you can use it as the Dutch birthday calendar that they hang in the toilet, lol. Its quite handy actually, as it always reminds one of a birthday coming up.

this is the shadow painting technique I mentioned earlier. It turned out pretty neat I thought! Very easy too, as the base is a traced picture.

That's lovely Yollie ....... very Oriental looking.
I'm trying to work out what it's done on and with what medium .. is it a water colour on paper, or on glass? It looks quite rigid.

its a canvas! The outlines are done first with a sort of rubber, then colours are done with ekreachere and watered down. When thats dry you removed the rubber, and then go over the outlines with black ink. Took me two evenings to do. Very easy!

This set I made on Wednesday, our crafts class was away for 2 days and we went to a beading workshop. The lady that held them was so lovely and helpful, but also good in just leaving us to it once we got started. She had soooooo many beads, and necklace examples in a very small room, it was absolutely chockful!! I was very pleased with the results, made a bracelet as well, and then couldn't resist doing the earrings as well. Now to start wearing them!!

and wouldn't you know it, lol. Forgot to put it on when I went out on Sunday!! I wore the shirt I had made the necklace to go with, and then went off to my in-laws, and then my parents (it was Fathers day here), drove into their street and discovered I had forgotten to put the necklace on, lmao. Goes to show how often I wear dress up jewellery!! lol.

Maybe it was a sign you are going to give it to your mum or m.i.l. as a gift Very pretty Yollie, I love the colours. Haven't been doing any crafts lately, I'm busy at the moment designing a new kitchen. I wanted to take out a bench and move it to the side, but hubby decided we should rip everything out and put in a new kitchen. I can remember when you did that and I'm not looking forward to the disruption.

not a very good picture but made this for Christmas, its a wrought iron frame that we wound with rope, and then made up a green piece with evergreens in the middle. The good thing is it can be made up for other occasions too, or just with seasonal plants.

here are a couple more things that I have made. the fish is made from soap stone, took a few evenings making it, as once you got the model you wanted had to be sanded down with increasingly finer sandpaper.

and these cards that I embroidered, you have to prick out the pattern first, then embroider it, and then finish off the card with 3D pictures. A lot of work, but well worth the effort!

How do you load pictures into here

Hi Tradenanny .. Tiny Pic seems to be the easiest way to do that. tinypic.com/?t=postuploadClick on Browse on the Tiny Pic page and "My Pictures" (on your comp) will open, choose the pic you want, click Open then click on Upload Now in tinypic. When it's loaded, a list of choices comes up & you need to click on (IMG code for forums & message boards), right click your mouse and click Copy, then you Paste it into here.
