I was having a bit of a clean out and came across some very old tatting patterns ( they might have been my Great Grandmothers) if anyone is into that craft I'd be happy to send these patterns to you. Pm me if you want them.

Wow I haven't heard of tatting for years. My grandma used to do it and mum told us she learnt while staying on Kapiti Island when she was about 13.

Not quite sure if I know it, is that a kind of lacemaking? I do know someone that does that, they use those little doodahs to weave the lace? Or am I confused with something else??

Well thats a pretty old book then!!! lol This lady I know has learnt the art, she makes all kinds of little lace doilies etc to put on cards. It looks really lovely. One of these days when I have ALL the time in the world I might try my hand at it. The problem is there are so many things I would love to try out, but making time to do it is the problem. Maybe I should find somewhere that does a workshop so I have to make time, lol.
