long time no see.. mainly because i have been on an english messageboard, same time zone etc, but good god they are driving me insane! if they are not sending each other ((((vibes)))) they are continuously whinging about there ex husbands and god forbid if you make a comment that is not 'supportive' and saying you are so right poor you, you get told as i did today that i shouldn't post.. well for the ones that know me, that was a red rag to a bull.. so am in the middle of a heated debate but apparently that can be construed as 'flaming' what ever the heck that means .. interestingly though i have had several private messages saying i am right but it seems no one dare say it on the actual boards.. ah i needed that.. if i'm allowed i can give you the name of the site.. but anyway i think it's time to find a more compatible english site.. i have never 'settled' since the OF one went sigh..

Lol queenie .... sounds as if those women/men[?], wouldn't have lasted 5 minutes on Old Friends ...... lol at visualising them coping with the Thyme brothers ;D I miss those days too. I hope you do find a more compatible forum. A lot of the old OFers have moved on from TM now or integrated into General maybe, I don't go in there, so haven't kept up with what's been going on with them. Alfio (Bryan from Perth) posts in Opinions quite a lot and Hone (JK aka cacteur) occasionally posts there too. They are the only ones I have seen recently .... apart from Bron, Yollie & occasionally Cookie, in here. Good to see you again though and hope all is going well for you and your son

ta, oh i can't join TM as every time i tried i eventually got sussed as posting outside nz or oz, and got removed.. yes the board is 99% women.. yes it would be good to let the brothers loose.. however the rules are so strick and i would say fascist, if you can't make a comment even though it has no personal insult or no sarcasum, and then be told by a mod it is flaming? ffs even commenting like this about another site would be a warning!!! anyway, things are plodding along as usual have had a few run in's with the school lol, i don't think they have had a parent challenge them before, at least they are now well aware that i monitor everything.. and complain if i don't like lol

Hiya Queenie, nice to see you again. I'm still on TM going on a year now, don't post much there nowadays though, not many of the oldies around on there. I'm mostly on Zillion and here these days... when I get the chance that is. Too many people on the computer here, lol.

I have been trawling ebay for games but they sell really high on there as well! oh and i have actually been dieting!!! so far have lost 20lbs! that's only a dip in the ocean for me but better than puting on which was what was happening before.. thanks for the welcome people, NZers are sooo much nicer people!!!

Wello hello stranger!! Nice to see ya again. Yep I have to agree the Wii games are bloody expensive! I have managed to get a couple of cheaper ones at Morrisons and Asda, not always the greatest games but luckily my lot are quite happy with anything lol. At the moment we have swapped 2 games with a friend of mine so they have something different to play for a couple of weeks!
Down here the holidays start on Friday for 2 weeks. Over easter they only had friday and monday off and back to school. We havent got much planned, skint again, as car died and had to buy replacement! Me and cars just dont go well together lol. This time got a 4x4 so I can pretend Im a snob on the school run heh heh (you know what I mean)
Hows your son doing at juniors? My baby Sam (selective mute) is off to juniors in Sept so thats a bigggggggggg step! Hes doiong ok with his teacher this year and actually starting to talk a little bit to her now.

so what does a wii game set you back for over there? Here they are about (I think) 60 euro for a new game. We don't have a wii, son bought an x-box last year with his birthday and pocket money all saved up. Most of the games cost around the same, 60-70 euro (40-45 pounds?)

they range from about £25 to £40! secondhand they are about £15, son bought the pirates of the carribean for £25 new but i think that is because it has been out for a while.. i have been trawling through ebay for wii games but they tend to be expensive on there too! He had a friend over today after school who brought with him a set of remotes, so they could both play on it and a new game, which now son wants! of course..

Good for you Queenie, that is great news!!
I am hoping to hop over and see Bron this summer, M and his cousins are probably coming over on the ferry to go up to an airshow at Duxford, and if they do I want to tag along and get the train from Dover to meet up halfway.

yet another update.. I attended a managing communication workshop today (as a parent) and my boss attended in his job capacity, he then decided that i am the expert on language impairments and wants me to take on the kids in school with language impairments, involving doing one to one sessions with them!! I have only been there a week! i have also been offered another 5hrs work from Sept if i want.. talk about a bit of a mental overload at the mo.. am also very pleased at the same time being offered so many opportunities in such a short space in time.. after going through some periods of very low self esteem, it's nice to know i might have some value..

Really good news Queenie thanks for sharing it with us, looks like you have found your forte, those of us who work closely with kids especially those with special needs value your work very highly. Even having some periods of low self esteem in your life will add something positive to your work now, as you will be able to relate well to some children who lack self esteem because of their impairments and know how to set them on a track which sees them succeed.
