Given the state of our economy are the branding companies pricing New Zealand into Third World Status? (Food Prices) Opinion please or not

the easy spread butter is cheaper than real butter, lately, I've been buying that. As for cheese brands don't come into it any more just buy whatevers cheapest

It is a worry. On the news the other night they went shopping and bought the basics, milk, butter, bread and a couple of other items came too $27 if you calculate that by a family of six, the weekly grocery bill would cover only the basics for a lower income family.
Those are home grown products which New Zealand once took pride in the fact that all families were all able to afford, it isn't a certainty any more.

This is definitely a shocking state of affairs. I use to strongly support New Zealand Made products but how can you when they've priced themselves out of our league.

You can compare what is going on in the food industry to what wenton in the real estate industry........blame globilisation.Whgat is happeniung hre is only a reflection of what is happeing else where in the world.THe gvernemnt no longer controls our economy and the sooner we step back from this globalisationn attempt the better. We arelcky we still have teh basics in poorer countries they are going hungry there is food riots etc.........
