Mine first sunset pic at a part of the beach I like to go to, to reflect and relax
And watch the sunset after work,.up to a hundred of us can be there at the same time just sitting in silence all doing the same thing
‘Wairaka’ te Wahine Maori whos action to put herself in the role of a man by swimming out to save the drifting waka (canoe). She proclaimed ‘Kia Whakatane au i ahau" which means ‘I shall act like a man’, the city was named after her (apparently) heroic act.
skinny for a maori wahine ,..there was a lot of hullabaloo about that at the time it was erected,......but it was way ahead of her time cos I have seen some maori girls who are skinny like her these days,...not the norm fer sure
so many people have rowed out to try to clothe her, evoked the gods of Tapu for the demise that overtook some of those wanna be fashion designers
the seagulls sit on her head and leave their,…..offerings,… as well hehe!!
