Heard the weather forecast is for the 30s. We'll see, the weather forecasters here are notorious liars. But if by some miracle they're not, guess what I'll be doing? You guess it - working on my tan ;D

Its blardy freezing, and I do mean the minus sort, it was -1 C when I came home earlier at 9.30 p.m. so bound to get even colder during the night!
I don't really mind, as long as there is no wind as that feels even colder!! But its quite nice weather otherwise.

it froze again last night, the bird bath was completely frozen over. Nice and sunny though, the sky is blue and there's hardly any wind at all!

we have had a few days of cold, cold, COLD weather!! Yesterday it was also misty, very miserable. Today however, all the mist froze up on the trees, the sun is peeping through on the horizon and it is just simply BEAUTIFUL outside!! I have been out with my camera (and the dog, lol) and taken some great pics, will post them when I get a chance. Quite possibly one of the last days of frost, and most likely not a white winter (nothing new there, hahaha). The creek froze up during the night, but it won't freeze long enough now to be able to skate. Pity that, still winter has only just started so you never know whats in store yet!

Brilliant day today ...... typical!! After Christmas day rain and wind ruined many families bbq plans. Not ours though, we have a covered deck & enclosed the sides with gazebo panels. Apart from the wind, it was okay out there to cook the bbq. Did a leg of lamb on the rotisserie, venison steaks & manuka smoked bacon ... all cooked wonderfully by hubby. Lol I love bbqs ;D ;D

About 5 minutes after posting the above yesterday, the weather turned to Cold, wet and windy. It's not far off that at the moment too .... I wonder if the reverse will happen and the weather makes a change for the better

This morning I woke up to heavy rain, and wind of about 6 bft. NOT nice weather but supposed to clear up before New Year.
The frost etc has long gone, they are saying we will have more in January. We will wait and see!

Was drizzling slightly and blowing a gale this morning in Wellington but the temperature was not much warmer at home. Looking forwards to a hot one next year.

I have refrained from posting about the weather, as everytime I do, it seems to have the opposite effect. Lol perhaps I should have gone ahead anyway, as it has been raining for about three days .... it may have cleared up earlier than today. ;D ;D

I did hear on the news last night the rain had been quite heavy around the Wellington district, but it didn't seem too bad here in my little valley. A lot of drizzly rain along with the warm temps, that seemed to work wonders on the grapes and tomatoes. My sis-in-law is over in Riversdale with two of her daughters and their young boys (under 5s) .... hope it's not raining over there for them. Being cooped up in the house with rumbunctious boys is not my idea of a holiday. ;D ;D ;D Lol been there done that and I expect something a bit more relaxing. She has brought up 7 daughters so I think she will be feeling much the same

Its been variable here lately, rain, dry, a wee bit of sunshine. Temperatures around 7 C during the day and slightly colder at night. Not often below 0 so not too bad I guess. Could be better, could be much worse, lol.

we've been having bouts of rain, not all that cold around 6-7 degrees which is above normal for the time of year. No signs of a real winter except for the wee bit we had in December and early January.
