Six days since I've last been in and every one of them has been more or less the same ....... Forgot to add it was 34oC in the shade on the deck around lunch time.

Beautiful day here nice nice morning off to a fair one of the more worthwhile good stuff no junk and cheapie plants me being a person that will plant and plant and plant.
That is worthwhile as well when one has swallows that nest near by and stealth bomb often around my house, flit and stealthy dive and swoop around the property. I love it love it love it. In fact the day is so nice I good go outside and say thank you to the sun for shining today. I think as I have not been up still have a bit of morning madness that hasn't evaporated off yet!

darnation, it rained overnight and is still overcast and drizzling. Picnic will NOT be postponed. Told hubby to pack up the pop up sun thingy - gazebo, that's it. Lots of tarps on the ground we'll be fine. I feel slightly guilty as he is taking 4 girls, and I will be there for a little while but then dashing off for a posh lunch

its quite autumny, lol. Lots of wind and last night really bad showers. Luckily it dried out this morning and wasn't too bad, except for the cold wind.

I'm in the Netherlands (says under my avatar)
It was really stormy last night, the wind went up to 8 and we had so much rain that our alley was flooded! This morning (again) it has died down (to 6) and I can see blue skies and some white clouds. But we are expected to get more wintery showers today (rain, hail, thunder and lightning).

We had the storms on Friday night! We went out for a meal and got absolutely soaked lol. It is still really bitter and the wind is freezing. Doesn't help living on the coast where we get the wind straight off the sea!

Hehe sorry yollie. I knew it did but when I was looking do you think I could see what was looking at me in the face LOL
Our summers just seem so much shorter now. I was putting away the wood basket but wondering if we might still need it. Last year we had the fire burning in November.

Snap bottlecar ..... I was thinking the same thing today. If I remember correctly, we had the occasional fire last year, as late as December. It cooled down a bit today. Really weird though, Wgtn was 22oC today but I thought it was hotter yesterday and the temp was 19oC. That was according to TV1s weather, which I think is rubbish, they are hardly ever right.

Maire, Bottlecar, last year I was in NZ up until today(!) and we had quite nice weather, but also some less. I remember it being quite windy and rainy in Wellington (except for the day we met up - Maire that is, it was quite nice then apart from the wind). I got sunburnt in Christchurch the week before. It was better than back home in Holland, lol. So cold and dark by 5 p.m.!!
Well at least the wind has died down some for now, and its dry but still a grey sky. BUT... only 2 weeks till the shortest day and then we'll be waiting for the days to lengthen again - yaaaaayyyy!!

We have been having hot hot days and nights & the grass is brown with big cracks appearing in the ground. Had some rain a few days ago and there is a misty rain falling at the moment. Nine days until the longest day here Yollie. I went into the Dutch shop in Petone (north of Wellington) last week and bought a few items ..... licorice, marzipan and marzipan covered in chocolate and Kerry bought a smoked mackerel. I was in a hurry so didn't have time to have a good look around, but they seem to have a good variety of food items that need more investigating
