Another nice day here. Its autumn but the last couple of days have been nice and sunny, not too cold, around 16-17 C.  Bit of a waste when you have to spend it sick in bed  |

 hiya thanks for your good wishes. I was in bed for most of the weekend, and didn't go in to work on Monday. Still at home today (Tuesday), but definitely feeling a lot better. As I usually only work Mondays/Tuesdays I have the rest of the week to potter about at home. I managed to read a bit between sleeping, so thats always a good thing. And lost 2 kg from not eating, lol. Weatherwise, its overcast here but (still) dry, getting cold in the evenings, had to turn up the central heating last night!

I take it you have been ill Yollie?
My dog has and my son! scary stuff, ended up rushing the dog to the vet then the following day rushing son to A & E!!!
Weather wise here - its raining cats and dogs!!! Its bouncing!
depressing to see, probably cause I feel depressed at the moment, looks like I could be getting made redundant from work!

just been home for lunch - son is doing OK, is scared to pee though, dog is on the mend. I walked in they were both fast asleep on the couch.
Yea work wise they are keeping me in limbo for a while... on the bright side, I'm off for a second interview tomorrow morning. Bonus as the place is only round the corner from where I live!

Weather is cold but dry
Interview went extremely well! I was told as I was leaving it was an excellent interview.

Sounds good Cookie!! Hope things work out for you. And I hope the patient's healths are improving. What I thought was the flu, turned out to most likely be an (allergic) reaction to my medication, which I had recently started using. Had another consult with the doctor and he told me to go back to half the dosis, which I had before this (without problems)!! Well at least it forced me to take it easy for the weekend instead of rushing about as I usually do, and managed to read some books. And had the kids running after me for a change, so it wasn't all bad!!!  We had quite nice weather today, sunny and hardly any wind. Had to go to the dentist this afternoon with the kids, no problems there either. Way to go!! Things are looking up!! |

Glad you are feeling better now Yollie. It's great having the family run around after you when you're sick .... I used to feel guilty, but after all the years we mums & dads have spent caring for the kids when they were/are sick, makes it only fair ;D ;D And fair is not what the weather is in the Hutt Valley today. It's been but now it's just cloudy and misty around the hills. No wind which is good, had enough of that to last for quite some time. |

Cheers Yollie, dog is back to normal thank god and son is still off school, but he is getting better.
Glad to here you are on the mend as well Yollie!
weather wise here its slightly foggy, very cold but the sun is breaking through. Winter sun very bright

Glad to hear everyone getting back to normal in the yollie and cookie households!!
Weather here is fantastic, although its very fresh lol. Its surprisingly mild this morning and I have just hung out the washing. Have got the windows and back door open, we are expecting a high of about 16-17 today, amazing for this time of year.
We took #1 son off to an open evening at secondary school on Tuesday...........wow what a school!!! If they'd been like that 20 years ago when I was there I might have made more of an effort lol. He wasn't looking forward to it as most of his mates are in different catchment so will be going to different school, but now hes seen it, hes really excited! It is in the 'top 5' for schools in Portsmouth so hes very lucky!

Its still pretty nice here too, sunny and mild, about 15 C. I also have the back door open, radio blaring as there's no-one home just yet. (only a matter of time, sigh)
Our neighbours have moved but their house hasn't been sold yet so there's no need to turn the radio down, lol. They are a couple in their late sixties (same as my parents), wonder what we will get next! Its a slow time for selling at the moment. It would be nice to get something around our ages next door, most of our street are oldies, lol.
Bron, once they get to high school there's no stopping them!! Time just flies faster and faster!!

I did get this awesome poem about rain....it was quite sweet. Rain is good but when it includ a hubby off work due to RAIN...AHhhhhh
