we keep having rotten weather during the week and nice weather at the weekend... its perfect!!
Definitely getting chilly now though in the mornings, we had a slight frost on Saturday morning and probably this morning as well. I wouldn't know though as I didn't get out of bed until 11 a.m.!!! (yes I know, shocking, lol)

Its cold and its dark out!! At 7.30 a.m., sigh. Have to go to work in a week while.
Next week daylight saving will have ended so it will be marginally lighter in the mornings and much earlier dark in the evenings - then it will really feel like winter's a-coming!!
I wish I could emigrate to some warm country just for the winter!!

Not been too bad today. As hps said, very windy, but it was and warm enough out of the wind. 20oC on the deck at one stage.

Cloudy and a bit windy so feels colder. Its slightly warmer here on the coast than further inland.

Tawhirimatea was really strong today. Tawhirimatea? Is that north wind bossy? I have a niece called Matea, a very pretty girl, breezy and bright. Well named maybe? A lovely, blue sky, no wind, sunny day today

Hard to believe it but it's true. The God of Wind....He can be anywhere he likes....he is after a Kaitiaki and the stubborn one who helped separate Rangi and Papa. Matea could have more significance to an ancestor or maybe a deeper understanding than just being breezy and bright. Hence the changes of names fro Maui during significant times in his life. Matea is a sweet sounding name.

Ditto!! Very miserable here today, its not raining properly, just very fine misty drizzly stuff!!
Me and kids are baking today, caramel slice yummmmmmmmmmmmm its their favourite at the moment, and my first attempt making it!! Much easier just to buy! But they all like cooking so we'll give it a go!! Happened to mention to a friend that we are making it, so she is coming round with her kids to check that it tastes ok!!

Its still dry here but overcast. No rain expected.
Yummie caramel slice, I have a recipe here from Z, might give it a go at the weekend. Probably get to scoff the lot myself as my lot are not much into fancy stuff. They even prefer plain muffins to choc chip!!! (straaaaaange, I sometime wonder if they weren't switched at birth, except M is also like that!)
