The lawns sound lovely Sparrow. I watch a lot of travel, home and documentary shows and it's weird that they rarely feature Switzerland. It's such a beautiful country you would think it would feature a lot on these types of shows .. maybe it's too expensive as a holiday or 2nd home destination perhaps?

Lol Lux I remember those Saturday mornings trailing around the parks watching my older boy play rugby. I think every one of them had a stream running through them and I was forever chasing Kerry around as they seemed to be like a magnet for him!! Nothing came of that threatening rain yesterday, so maybe it will happen today (not so much wind to blow the clouds away) and you can get to do the fire scene. I've had a chest infection and was feeling cold early last night and Kerry wanted to light the fire, but then I went the opposite and got too hot, so said no fire. He was most upset and went around and opened all the doors so I'd get cold again .. and we didn't get to have a fire ;D We went to watch the little fella play and he was so cute, really enjoying the image though not much into the game yet lol, it was a lot of fun (under 6's) Loved the way the coaches really encourage and stay with the littlies during the game. Can't wait for troy to get into sports, something we avoided with Rhys with him not really being well enough to get into it anyway, so its a whole new experience.

Hey Maire Yes the flowers are out and it's pretty glorious. They do something interesting here with their lawns in that they have grass and flowers spread through it. It makes it look very beautiful. It's another beautiful day here and we are lounging about. Good to see you about, the lawn thing sounds great, and I'm looking forward to the travel log, love to you and the whanau

They do look cute, a bit like puppies, they're always more adorable when they are little ;D Finally got that long awaited water for the garden last night and boy did it pour down!!

Nice Sparrow ....... ours is going in the opposite direction. Got cold yesterday so lit the fire though we did regret it as it got far too hot. We had to open the doors to let in some cool air!! Sometimes you just can't win ;D

Our elderly neighbour from NZ is over visiting us. She went on a Pilgrim's Tour around Europe. She is an absolute marvel! We've been showing her the sights and she is enjoying herself. She flies out on Thursday from Malpensa to Singapore and then onto ChCh. It is hot and I have to balance up the sight seeing with the weather. So far we've been up a mountain (by cable car!), around the Lake by boat, around the city on a furniculari (small train) and for lunch/dinner at many and various restaurants. Tomorrow we're off to show her some of the local churches, more villages and for lunch in town. Phew.

Nice to see you here Misi .. I've been away for a few days at Waitarere with my two sisters where I enjoyed just one day of warm sun, the rest of the time was spent sitting by the fire reading and doing crosswords.
