so far 3 &1/2 days without

not planning to start back to it either

BTW: We gotta plasma thingy TV about two years ago. It truly is superb. You'll never go back. It was unseemly how much we loved the darn thing when we first got it! ;D Nice one on the comp too. Hope you both enjoy it. Good on yas!

You will succeed too, today is a good omen for any giving up smoking message. I know because this is the day of my anniversary of giving up **24/03/2004** four whole years today.
I also used patches. They work!!!

Good idea to buy yourself a new "toy" ;D
We are in the process of buying a new comp but minus the monitor, we bought that a while ago.
Getting the new one off a friend who sells them.
It's an Insite which I have never heard of, so hope it's okay.
He told me they use all NZ sourced gear, so I'm doing my bit for
"buy NZ". ;D

nicotine and have very vivid dreams.

You should be so proud of yourself. What a wonderful achievement, it shows great character by you and your wife. 30 odd grams a day down to nothing, I know patches and gum help a little, but it is mainly the will power shown by you and your wife. You have inspired me to try the same. I wish I could say I have the strength you two are showing. I salute you.

I just bought my first packet in a while, as I get some sent over from Europe, and grow some of my own, the one I bought today has the ugly mouth cancer pics, ewwww... Makes me wonder where the guvmint will grab the extra tax from though if people give up enmass, hmmmmm...

I used to think like you Oasis. I am still a mug smoker, 30 a day man. But Scruffy and his wife have inspired me to give it another shot in giving up. Those patches, and gum, and pills are support only. It is will power that counts, and i take off my hat to them. The tax the government collects does not cover the medical bills caused by smoking. Once it used to, now it doesn't. I wish the government would ban smoking, that would make it really easy for me.
