Yep, seen them and left a message. I did mean to make mention of how flat the landscape is over there and I guess the wind could prove to be a problem if it was very strong ... (hope the kids got home safely) Our day turned out to be really good, lovely &

Beautiful it was Lux. I went over to Porirua today and it was really hot over there too. Out of the wind ie, that was still a bit nippy.
Spent most of the afternoon watching Brittons house movers putting the old house next door at the top of the drive, onto their truck, ready to move away on Friday morning. Fascinating how they can put a whole house onto such a narrow trailer. Grahams going to be building a new house on the site for our neighbours .... the second one on the section. Our house will be invaded by tradesmen coming over for morning tea and lunch for a few months .... I'm really looking forward to that ... not ;D ;D

Its still blowing pretty hard here, but dry at the moment. Last night it utterly peed down!!
There's hardly a leaf left on the trees and the ground is covered with yellow/brown leaves.

I saw those threads Diana .... how rude they are. You certainly don't come across as the "meanie", there are plenty there though who do deserve the label. Weather today in my corner of the Hutt Valley was without the sun though No wind and warmish. That was inside though, I had a lazy day at home, with the house all to myself for 3/4 of the day. Made a hummingbird cake and brought some washing in and that was about it for work today for me ;D

It is a nice hot, 21 C or 72F spring is so nice but is meant to be a thunderstorm tonight snow down to 400m [often doesn't happen and I am looking over my shoulder for the storm to appear during the day my head goes not quite like those clown things in a circus] but that is just a flick of Winters tail. I hope the thunder is with bolts of lightening as it does clear the air. I love great storm here where I live is a bit too dry for my bones.
It least those in the Northern spere can have a proper Christmas with all that goes with that ie weather wise.

It all turned to the proverbial custard yesterday afternoon. Rain wind and freezing cold, so cold we lit the fire. Thunder and lightning during the night with gale force winds & rain. It's still very windy this morning, but not raining at the moment. It seems our spring has sprung a leak ;D ;D

ugh I am getting so sick of this rain!! But apparently its going to clear up some by the weekend and then it will get (much) colder. It would appear that winter is nearly upon us! Actually I don't mind if its crisp and cold, much better than this constant wind and rain! At least you can go outside all bundled up and stay dry!

I was out with my mother, sister and 2 friends of my mother's, we had a 4 1/2 hour train trip down south and it was gorgeous weather, although pretty cold. I've just been home for half an hour (another 4 1/2 hours back). We went to see a Christmas market in old limestone caves, it was brilliant!! Only thing (stupid me) I forgot to take my camera. Did take a few pics with my mobile phone, but have to work out how to get them on the computer as I don't have a cable.

SOunds like you had a great day out Yollie...I'm getting my A into G... We've bought two four wheelers off TM, bought two last year but one was too big for the kids and we decided not safe enough, so sold that one and now have two more which we have a few things to do on and then take for a run...It's a beautiful day!

That market sounds really cool Yollie. Re getting your phone pics onto the computer, does your phone do emails? If so, just email them to yourself, then save the pics. Speaking of which, I took some of my son at his graduation with mine, so must do that myself. Bottlecar, you're lucky, I'd love to have chooks. I grew up with them and used to stay on a relatives free range chicken farm when young, so have fond memories of them. Probably the reality of having them in the town is a lot different. Especially if you have a rooster. As for our weather today ....... absolutely brilliant. Another repeat of yesterday
